Covid Precautions & Procedures

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and current government recommended distancing policies; we are taking new precautions to help keep our clients and ourselves safe and healthy during this time.

New Procedures: Private Training Sessions

I am continuing to offer private in-home training sessions for you and your dogs. It still looks very much the same with a few changes.

-I will take my temperature everyday and will notify you in case there is any change. If there is, we will reschedule your appointment for the next available time upon safe health clearance.

-We will be wearing masks at our appointments when meeting inside or in public.

-Unfortunately, I will not be shaking your hand when I meet you and will minimize physical contact as much as possible during our times working together (believe me, this is simply out of what is best based on medical health professional recommendations).

-I carry with me hand washing supplies, in my truck, for the days that I have multiple appointments and will be seeing several people.

-There is no record of dogs passing along the coronavirus to humans. Shared interactions with your dog should remain the same and pose no threat to either one of us.

-Please be sure to wash your hands and if there is ANY question or chance of you not feeling well; headache, scratchy throat, stuffy nose, minor cough, lethargy – PLEASE notify me ASAP so we can reschedule.

-There will be no penalties of notifying me of a reschedule due to not feeling well. We all need to be cautious and keep each other safe and healthy so we can all continue to work towards a better future where we can hug and socialize with our friends and families regularly, again.

New Procedures: Pick Up / Drop Off Boarding.

We will still offer pick up and drop off services for our boarding clients. They will look a bit different from before.

PICK UP

1- We ask that you say your goodbyes to the pups before we arrive. We will still text an ETA when we are on the way so this should give ample time to do so.

2- Please have all items for dogs ready and outside waiting. Preferably in the sun when we text our ETA. This includes crates and their food in a sealed bag or bin. As these items will be loaded into the bed of our truck for travel. Please note: We will not be taking any blankets, bowls, toys, or bones at this time.

3- When we arrive we will have pre-sanitized crates ready for the pups to travel in. They will be in the backseats of the truck, with the doors open and ready for easy loading.

4- We will text you to let you know when we have arrived and have their items loaded, so you can bring the dog(s) out to us.

5- To minimize contact and maintain recommended distances we will have you bring your dog out and load them into the crate, and close the crate door. We will close up the truck doors once dog(s) are loaded into the crate.

6- Sadly, we won’t be offering out hugs or handshakes to our clients. This is probably the hardest part about the current crisis but it is for everyone’s health and safety – which is a top priority for us!

DROP OFF

1- We will bring the dogs back the same way we picked them up. In sanitized crates in the backseat.

2- All items such as crates and food bins will be in the bed of the truck.

3- We will unload your food bins and crates out front upon arrival of our return. We will leave them out front in the sun.

4- We will open the back doors and text you that we have arrived, so that you can come outside and take your dogs out of the crates. We will ensure that everything is sanitized following us handling them and the crate doors before our arrival to your house.

5- We will close up the crate doors and the truck doors after the dogs are received.

SANITIZING PROCEDURES

-All dogs will get a quick waterless bath upon arrival to our home. And again once loaded into the sanitized crates to head back to your home.

-All items such as crates and food bins will get cleaned upon arrival, and again once loaded back into the truck for returning home.

-We have plenty of bowls that we will run through hot water wash daily to feed the dogs in.

-Because our work involves animals, we are no stranger to washing our hands frequently throughout the day. We have increased the amount of hand washing and the use of gloves to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

Thank You for your continued patronage and support during a very unknown time! Your support keeps businesses like ours running and for that we are most grateful!
